SITUATION #1:
The folder that your company file is in was given read only privileges when it was shared. All company files must have FULL ACCESS or READ/WRITE permissions.

SITUATION #2:
You are accessing the same MYOB application program over the network.
SOLUTION #2
MYOB accounting programs must be installed on each workstation and the user MUST launch the program from their workstations (local hard drive). You cannot launch the application program over the network!
SITUATION #3:
Someone is logged into the program as Single User.
SOLUTION #3
Have all users log out of the company file and then log back in. BE SURE WHEN YOU ENTER YOUR USER NAME AND PASSWORD THAT YOU CHECK YOUR FILE ACCESS. If more than one user wants to be in the same file at the same time, they must choose Multi-user Access.
SITUATION #4:
You have run out of room on your hard drive.
SOLUTION #4
Make more room available by cleaning up your hard drive. You may also want to defragment the hard drive.
SITUATION #5:
System crashed and your user id is locked.
SOLUTION #5
Search the hard drive for LOCK*.flk files. (LOCK0001.flk, LOCK0002.flk, etc.) Once you find the lock files, delete them. Be sure no one is currently logged into the company file before deleting them. You should also delete Access01-10 and Access51-60 as well. Empty the Trash once you have deleted these files.
SITUATION #6:
Your shortcut or alias has become corrupt.

Delete the shortcut/alias and create a new one. If you are not sure how, please refer to your system help files.
SITUATION #7:
WINDOWS USERS ONLY! The file was copied to the hard drive from a CD and it is set to read only.

Your mapping has become corrupt.

Disconnect the current mapped drive and remap. If you are not sure how to map your network drives, please contact your certified network administrator or refer to your operation system documentation.
SITUATION #9:
MACINTOSH USERS ONLY! One of your hard drives has a period or exclamation point in the name.

MACINTOSH USERS ONLY! The computers on your network have the same exact hard drive or computer names.

MACINTOSH USERS ONLY! The folder name, that your company file is in, is more than 27 characters long.
