This FAQ applies to AccountEdge and AccountEdge Network Edition for US
If you perform a task that will cause your company file to close while having the Task Drawer open, a ghost command center will appear behind the command center when the file is re-opened.
Tasks that will cause a ghost window to appear are as follows:
Opening a second file or creating a new file
If you have a company file currently open and you have selected New File or Open File from the File Menu, with the Task Drawer open, a ghost window will appear.
Backup your company file
If you choose to Backup your company file with the task drawer open, a ghost window will appear.
Restore a company file
If you choose to Restore a company file with the task drawer open, a ghost window will appear.
If you do not have multiple command centers showing after completing one of these tasks and the Command Center is non operational, you may have minimized the actual Command Center window and you may be viewing the ghost command center.
This ghost command center will not be operational and will disappear when you close out of the application.
